This one-of-a-kind unframed original pencil, ink and watermedia painting was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on July 7, 2012, during a live music performance in Rhys's Santa Fe, NM art studio.
Carlos Lomas is a renowned Flamenco master based in Santa Fe, and Ms. Rhys first started drawing and painting pictures of him in 1996. Two of his CDs have her art on the covers. His beloved wife Gioia Tama had passed away two months before this session and both artists were having a hard time during this first meeting without her.
Mr. Lomas will receive a cash commission from the sale of this artwork in which he is depicted.
