This one-of-a-kind framed original pencil, ink & gouache painting was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys in two stages: the original pencil & ink drawing was created June 16, 2023, during a live music performance at Snug Harbor. That summer the artist added gouache paint to the drawing, employing her signature blend of drawing with paint and wildly hurling paint splatter to further give an impression of movement.
Kyle Roussel is depicted here playing piano with the Delfeayo Marsalis Quintet.
