Description

This one-of-a kind original oil on canvas board painting was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys in the spring of 2012 in the artist's French Quarter art studio. It is a preparatory study, created to try out the floral composition prior to adding it into an in-progress portrait commission of Jeanette Jaffe. That painting was ultimately completed in June 2012.
