This one-of-a-kind unframed original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on October 28, 2012 standing on Orleans Avenue looking towards the back end of St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter, one of many the artist has created in the past decade.
This iconic view stops many visitors in their tracks, never more so than in the evening hours when the Cathedral beams a spotlight under a statue of Jesus with arms raised, leading locals to deem the resulting shadow the "Touchdown Jesus."
