This one-of-a-kind framed original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on September 19, 2019, during a live music performance at The Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Singer/songwriter Joy Clark is depicted mid-song accompanying herself on guitar, during a performance that was part of the Ogden's regular Thursday night music series.
This drawing is one of several Rhys artworks illustrating Ms. Clark's interview in the book "New Orleans Music Observed: The Art of Noel Rockmore and Emilie Rhys," published in 2021.
Ms. Clark will receive a cash commission from the sale of this artwork in which she is depicted.
