#10077_Courtyard at Latrobe’s on Royal

$237.50

14″ x 17″ unframed original drawing on off-white 93 lb (150 gm) archival paper

This one-of-a-kind unframed original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on July 18, 2019, in the courtyard at Latrobe's on Royal, a private event space. The building dates to 1822, designed for the Louisiana State Bank by Benjamin Henry Latrobe, the architect of the U.S. Capitol and the Porticos of the White House.

In this drawing the artist has depicted the large courtyard that years ago had been enclosed and roofed but which still has the original exterior shutters on the windows and lanterns on the walls facing it.
