This one-of-a-kind unframed original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on April 29, 2018, during a live music performance in the WWOZ Jazz Tent at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Singer/bandleader Quiana Lynell is depicted mid-song, heading up her eponymous band.
This drawing is one of several Rhys artworks illustrating Ms. Lynell's interview in the book "New Orleans Music Observed: The Art of Noel Rockmore and Emilie Rhys," published in 2021.
Ms. Lynell will receive a cash commission from the sale of this artwork in which she is depicted.
