This one-of-a-kind unframed original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on June 23, 2017, during a live music performance at Preservation Hall. Clarinetist Charlie Gabriel is depicted leading his band "Charlie Gabriel and Friends", while a 1963 oil painting of banjoist "Creole" George Guesnon by Rhys' father Noel Rockmore looms over him.

This drawing is one of several Rhys artworks depicting Mr. Gabriel in the book "New Orleans Music Observed: The Art of Noel Rockmore and Emilie Rhys," published in 2021.

Mr. Gabriel will receive a cash commission from the sale of this artwork in which he is depicted.
