This one-of-a-kind original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on October 21, 2016, during a live music performance at the historic Dew Drop Dance & Social Hall in Mandeville, LA. Singer Germaine Bazzle was accompanied by David Torkanowsky & Friends, including Herlin Riley and David L. Harris.

Ms. Bazzle will receive a cash commission from the sale of this artwork in which she is depicted.

A personal note: on this occasion, Ms. Rhys was sixteen days out from enduring major surgery, thus it was a triumph to make the journey to the Northshore with her husband, her brother, and Esther Rose, and to create this drawing, one of several created that night.
