This one-of-a-kind unframed original pencil and ink drawing was created by New Orleans artist Emilie Rhys on June 22, 2016, during a live music performance at Prime Example Jazz Club. Mr. Rossignoli, at the piano, was sitting in with the band Jesse McBride Presents The Next Generation for a few songs.
Pianist/educator McBride's 2013-2018 weekly Wednesday night musical residency at Prime Example served as a training ground for young musicians, whom he mentored as "The Next Generation,î in tribute to his own mentor, the legendary musician/composer/record label owner/arranger/educator Harold Battiste, Jr.
Mr. Rossignoli will receive a cash commission from the sale of this artwork in which he is depicted.
